What Is Train to Gain?With help from Train to Gain employers can invest in skills, giving employees the ability, confidence and qualifications they need. Through Train to Gain funding we are able to offer fully and part funded NVQ level 2 training and NVQ Level 3 training to employees aged 19+. Train to Gain courses are delivered in the workplace with optional tutorials once a month in Reading.![]() Level 2 NVQThis course is for those wishing to start a career working with children. It provides a sound base on which to build, covering essential good practice, supporting the smooth running of the nursery/classroom and will qualify the candidate to be a nursery assistant/ teaching assistant/ learning support worker.Level 3 NVQThis course is aimed at practitioners who have completed an NVQ Level 2, have a lot of experience working in a childcare setting or who have achieved A-levels. The course focuses on being proactive in implementing and promoting good practice. This will qualify the candidate to take a supervisory role in a nursery/ as a teaching assistant.
This course is suited to those who have completed their level 3 CCLD qualification and are leading a team or a room with two or more people. The course covers basic management principles and theory and developing productive working relationships with college. |
