Saturday Tutorials: Extra support for learners

CTL runs a Saturday tutorial once a month during term time in order for learners to gain extra support and tutorial sessions in areas they feel less confident on.

Changes to Apprenticeship Wages

From October 2010, Apprenticeships wages will be changing to an hourly rate of £2.50. This will replace the current system of a minimum of £95 per week.

QCF

The QCF in practice

In the QCF framework every unit and qualification has a credit value and a level. One credit represents ten 'notional' hours of learning, which includes both Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and independent learning hours, and shows how much time the qualification takes to complete. Levels vary from Entry level to level 8, showing how difficult the qualification is. There are three sizes of qualifications in the QCF:
