Caring for your local environment can have a positive impact on your local community. A good quality local environment helps improve health, education and can reduce crime. By encouraging local involvement in environmental activities, people may wish to go on and take action on wider issues like saving energy or tackling climate change. Improving local environments can create stronger communities and can also help protect the wealth of wildlife which we enjoy. Caring for your area also means having a bigger say in local plans which affect your community to make sure they help create a brighter, greener future.
