Inductions and Initial assessments
Before you start your training course you will be invited to an induction at Chiltern Training. This is a vital part of your training and all learners must attend. If you do not attend your induction, your training may be terminated until you have been.

An induction takes one full day and a number of important areas are covered such as:
  • An overview of what Chiltern Training does
  • An outline of your training course
  • What is expected of you as a learner
  • What you can expect from Chiltern Training as your training provider
  • A written assessment
  • Health and Safety in the work place
  • Safeguarding Children
  • Equal Opportunities

You will also need to undertake initial assessments. This involves doing  Maths and Communications tests on the computer at Chiltern Training. You will be booked onto these either before you start your course or at induction. The initial assessments must be taken by all learners and will assist CTL in assessing the level of support you will need whilst you are training.

If you have not had your induction or have not been booked onto one, please contact the admissions team on 0118 956 6995. All learners who convert from a level 2 course onto a level 3 course will need to attend another induction.
