Individual Learning Plans

Your Individual Learning Plan is a working document which you will have from the beginning to the end of your course. On it will be recorded targets set and your progress, along with any support requirements you may have.

Setting Targets

In order for you to have the best possible chance of achieving your framework on time, you will be set targets to help you keep on top of your work throughout the year. These targets will be set by you and your Training Co-ordinator together and should always be achievable. You will, however, be expected to put in some time and effort outside of college and work in order to meet these targets.

Frame up Reports

We use a database called Frame Up to record your progress through the year, and it clearly shows which elements of the framework you have achieved and what is outstanding. It also provides an indication of how well you are progressing on a monthly basis. You and your manager can refer to this report and it can be used to update the ILP to show when units have been completed.

Tracking Your Progress

The ILP contains a section where your progress can be tracked. Alongside the spaces to write in the dates that you are aiming to meet your targets will be a space to record the actual completion date. These two dates should be as close together as possible.
